Julie Conway visits Liquid Light Glass

Last Friday, August 13th, Elodie, Jannine and Cia worked in the shop with friend and fellow glassblower, Julie Conway who was in town from Omaha , Nebraska. Julie is the owner and designer of Illuminata, a glass design studio creating functional and sculptural glass art works. Julie worked for Elodie from 2000-2003 assisting in the hot shop, polishing the work, and helped Elodie establish the Baca Street Art District. She was in town for a friend’s wedding and squeezed in a glass commission. Here are some pictures of us creating one of Julie’s giant glass lamp shades with her.
